After 4.5 years of writing in the deep seas of emotional turmoil, I am finally giving voice to the silence. This memoir is my true story of finding light in the darkest season, leaving abuse, beginning the journey of healing, and discovering a sacred voice that can never be silenced again.

Across 13 years together, including a decade of marriage, I endured family violence, medical gaslighting, and the devastating silence that too often surrounds abuse. This memoir is both a testimony of faith and a call for change. It shares my personal journey, while also shining a light for others to find strength, freedom, and healing.

This space exists to offer hope, practical guidance, and a calm place to pause. Through my upcoming book, podcast, and blog reflections, I share the message that by God’s grace, healing is possible.

If you are searching for hope, strength, or renewal, you are not alone. My memoir, Saving Grace: Rise Above Domestic Violence, is an honest and faith-filled account of surviving family violence, medical gaslighting, and childhood abuse, and finding a way forward with God’s help. It speaks to anyone who has ever felt silenced, unseen, or lost in the dark. The book is coming soon, and I warmly invite you to join me on this journey.

My Journey

I am Grace Amore, author of Saving Grace: Rise Above Domestic Violence. Alongside my writing, I bring more than twenty years of experience in community services across Victoria. My professional background includes residential detoxification and rehabilitation, alcohol and other drug recovery, and community mental health. I have worked as an AOD practitioner, a Local Area Coordinator with the NDIS, and earlier in residential care and detox support at St Vincent’s. In addition, I have taught the Diploma of Community Welfare Studies.

My work is grounded in trauma-informed care, person-centred practice, and integrative approaches including Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), somatic integration, and art therapy. These disciplines shape my writing and advocacy, ensuring dignity, safety, and hope remain central.

In addition to my memoir, I host The Sacred Voice podcast, where I share reflections on healing, resilience, and faith. While still growing, the podcast extends the same mission as my book—to amplify silenced voices and to offer pathways toward restoration.

After the husband left the state of Victoria, during lockdown, painting became a lifeline—a way to pour my emotions onto canvas and let God bring healing through colour and water. It was one way how I let the emotions out. The grief was insurmountable”

Testimonials

Grace has a steady and calm presence and I feel immediately at ease when I am with her. She has coached me through an overwhelming emotion I was experiencing that I was allowing to take over, and she coached me to continue in my faith, to continue trusting in Jesus. I used to feel fear in certain situations, but now I feel capable to face my fears and not let any hurdle stop me from achieving my goals. Thanks Grace!

"Grace Amore is the very definition of resilience, strength, and triumph. To say she has overcome trauma is an understatement—she has risen from the depths of unimaginable pain, transforming her past into a beacon of hope for others. Surviving sexual abuse and a marriage from hell, she has not only reclaimed her life but has become a guiding light for those seeking their own freedom. Grace is more than an inspiration—she is living proof that healing is possible, a true angel who empowers women to break free and step into their own power."

R!k Schnabel, Life Beyond Limits NSW Australia.

"I am amazed and privileged that my dear friend Grace has included one of our sessions in her book.

Our journey together has been extraordinary. I would come to our sessions ready to treat her, yet never fully knowing what would unfold. However, as one of Rick Schnabel’s core teachings suggests, establishing rapport is key. Grace had a way of slowing me down—whether through prayer or simply pausing to breathe. In doing so, she helped me shift from the chaos of daily life into a space of healing. And in truth, our sessions were always mutual—she helped me as much as I helped her.

With a background in osteopathy, chiropractic care, natural therapies, kinesiology, and coaching, I have worked with many people over the years. But my time with Grace was different. Our sessions were never just about physical treatment; they were about spiritual and emotional healing as well. We shared deep conversations, many of which mirrored my own past struggles, and I saw in her a strength that was both heartbreaking and inspiring.

I remember seeing a vision of her journey—she walked brightly down a path, unaware that brick walls were rising behind her, cutting off her way back. I, too, had been in such a place. She had once lived in safety and trust, seeking happiness and fulfillment, only to find herself trapped in a nightmare of abuse, loneliness, and suffering. Her story is a testament to resilience, faith, and survival.

Her journey back to herself was neither easy nor straightforward. Did COVID-19 save her? Or was it divine intervention? Perhaps both. But without question, it was also her own courage, persistence, and deep faith in God that brought her through.

Grace’s story is a must-read. Her life is a miracle, and her book is an inspiration. As someone who has spent a lifetime in natural therapies, I deeply resonate with her words about healing, the body’s wisdom, and the all-too-common experience of having one’s suffering dismissed or misunderstood by others.

Grace, thank you for being you. You have blessed me beyond words, and I know your book will bless countless others.

With love and gratitude,
Gaynor”

In 1994, I painted this image without knowing the story it carried.
Nearly thirty years later, in 2023, God gave me a vision of my third baby, Christy, who I lost through pregnancy. She appeared exactly as I had painted her all those years before.

This painting now holds a sacred place in my journey. a reminder that even in loss, God weaves threads of love and restoration across time. It stands as a tribute to my three babies: Violet, James, and Christy, whose lives, though brief, have shaped my own in ways beyond words.
