Kind Words!

Jordana lives in NY and likes to send out photos of her daughter Ava to family and friends, BUT all the notecards are too small to fit a 4x6 photo and she has to end up cutting the photos. Well, she came in contact with me and I custom designed some oversized notecards for her so she will no longer have to cut the pictures!

Here is what she had to say...

"Hi Rebecca - Just got the cards today. I love them! A friend of mine has a blog, mamabirddiaries.com and she recommends different services and prodcuts. I told her how happy I was with you and I'll let you know if she puts you on her site. Thanks again - I will definitely be ordering from you again!!"

Check out the Blog! Jordana is a contributing "Mama" and it is awesome :)

Here is the notecard (pre-folded)... The frog is a family joke, so we added it for that special touch!

Holiday Fun!

As Holiday parties are in full swing, here are some unique ideas to incorporate into your get-together to have your guests pleased!

Holiday Candy Buffet -
Decorate a sideboard with apothecary jars or glass containers filled with red, white and green candies.

Hot Chocolate Bar -
Fill a Snowman beverage dispenser like the one shown here with Hot Coco. Take serving dishes (also shown) and set them around with toppings such as: mini marshmallows, candy canes, and white chocolate chunks.

A Signature Cocktail-
Make a version of these cocktails below, but in red or green! Use rock candy swizzle sticks for a special touch and call them, "Merry Martinis"!

For decorating, try these fun ideas:

Holiday Wire -
String floral wire across your room or doorway and hang cards and ornaments! It will make a wonderful focal piece for your Christmas Cards. Display your own Holiday family photos or Scrapbooking abilities. The possibilities are endless!

Ornament Style -
I have done this for several years. Place ornaments in glass vases around your house for classic and beautiful centerpieces. Try using different height containers and creating a whole display of ornaments, pine cones and berries.

Here is a wonderful link to an article in Good Housekeeping Magazine Online where Martha Stewart shares her easiest, fastest and most fabulous tips for holiday decorating!

Merry Christmas & Lots of Holiday Love From Grace Amore!! May your Holiday parties be blessed with laughter and lots of creativity!

In The Spotlight: Martinez - Lombardo Wedding

Just posted in the Real Events section of my website are photos of a wedding I did in June for one of my best friends Holly and her husband Gus.

The Lombardos got married at Eisenhower Park in Orange, California. Holly wanted a stylish and fun affair to reflect her and Gus' playful personalities. We carried out her vision by using black and white polka dot ribbon accents and bright orange, yellow and pink flowers! It turned out to be a beautiful day!

View more photos and details of the Martinez - Lombardo Real Event.

If you think Holly looks familiar, you are right! She is also part of the Rebecca Calagna Events Team!

Photos were taken by Anne of Eye Spy Photography.

Bouquets for the Bride and Bridesmaids were created by Jenny B. Floral Design.

And to show you what a FUN affair this really turned out to be, here I am on the dance floor having a blast!

Amazing is the Word of the Day!

I would like to introduce to you an AMAZING photographer that I had the pleasure and opportunity of working with at the AMAZINGLY beautiful wedding of Jose and Jimmee Medina at The Guasti Villa...

Rachel Priddy captures candid, fresh, sophisticated photographs that are truly works of art. Her Bachelor of Arts in Photojournalism and 5 years as a professional photographer give her the knowledge and experience to produce flawless images everytime. However, it's her amazing personality and unique "eye" that has defined her approach to photography: shooting from the heart to produce captivating memories for a lifetime!

When she's not behind the camera, Rachel spends her time with her wonderful husband of two years, Mike Ohlschlager and their adorable Maltese, Bailey. Rachel enjoys board games, traveling and going gourmet camping with friends. They have six adorable young nephews and cousins and that's enough kids for them to love, for now. Mike was recently promoted and transferred to Phoenix with Diebold, Inc. Within a month and a halfs time, they visited twice, bought a house and moved everything. Rachel still travels back and forth quite a bit, so weddings and portrait sessions are available in Southern California.

Please visit Rachel's website and blog and view her AMAZING work!

While Rachel is still hard at work editing photos to load on Pictage, she likes to create a slideshow in order to give her clients a preview of their big day. Here is a link to a slide show of Jimmee and Jose's wedding pictures...

Check back for more photos, as Mr & Mrs Medina will be featured under Grace Amore's Real Events and on Rebecca Calagna Events' gallery!

Thank you Rachel ... it was a pleasure to work with you!

Wedding Invitation Wording ~ So Many Options!

When it comes to whose names are printed on a wedding invitation, modern life can make things more than confusing. These days, the wedding is no longer only hosted by the brides parents therefore, they are not the only people to issuse the wedding invitation. Today's complex family structures (parents are divorced, widowed, remarried, and so on) only further complicate matters when it comes to invitation wording.

Below is an article from the September/October issue of Brides Magazine that provides eight different scenarios on wording wedding invitations.

Brides and Grooms commonly ask this question: What percentage of people do not attend the wedding? In the middle of this article is the answer- 85 percent of invitees say they will attend, leaving 15 percent to decline the invite.
